What is AA?
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problems. There are no dues or fees to attend any AA meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. The primary purpose is to help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
AA is based on the Twelve Steps. The Twelve Steps are a set of spiritual principles. When practiced as a way of life, they can expel the obsession to drink and enable the sufferer to recover from alcoholism.
The best way to find a recovery center that fits for you, or someone who is suffering from Alcoholism is to search in your browser for a recovery center near you. There are a host of options and programs available.
What is N A.
Narcotics Anonymous is about helping people help themselves. We are a non-profit organization comprised of people who suffer from the disease of addiction. Whether you are an addict, suffering from addiction or you think you may have a problem, you can find help from NA. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. There are no requirements for membership other than the individual’s choice to become free from the use of drugs. There are no fees required to join. Like many of us, our members have had a battle with the problems addiction causes. Our organization is based upon people helping each other.
