So you believe in God…what God? Who is He? There are a lot of “gods” out there. Can you describe yours? What sets yours apart? Do you really know whom you are following? These are central questions both for your own faith and for being ready to share it with others. This is where John starts his Gospel. In verses 1-9 he establishes that Jesus is God along with the Father and the Spirit. Now in verses 10-14 he asserts that Jesus is also man. How do you explain that both are reality? In what ways is he man…and yet still God? Do you see how both are necessary for your salvation? Let John help you see your God more clearly. It’s hard to follow Him if you don’t. Read Exodus 40: 1, 17, 34-38, Philippians 2:4-11, and John 1:6-14.
