Today is Witness Day for nineteen 8th Graders preparing for Confirmation next Sunday. Our confirmands are also giving witness to their faith in Jesus today. In the gospel reading Jesus appears to His disciples to give them peace and send them on their mission. He has risen and this becomes the message of their mission. Sometimes the mission encounters resistance–like that from Thomas or the religious leaders in the early days of the church. We tell of Jesus—and He reveals Himself—creating faith. Thanks be to God!
