We tend to choose our last words carefully because they are what stick. Jesus did the same with His final words before His death on the cross.  He voiced parting words to the world as He was leaving and loving through His death. In this series, we’ll examine Jesus’ last words and discover what they teach us about our crucified King and what they mean for those who follow after Him.

The religious leaders ask Jesus to silence His disciples as He enters Jerusalem. But Jesus tells them the very stones and all of creation must announce His arrival and intentions. Though we usually do not continue the passage—today we also add verses 41-42 which tell about Jesus crying over Jerusalem – the City of Peace—because the City does not know that He is bringing them Peace. Read Luke 19:28-42.
